India helps in controlling skyrocketing vegetable prices in Sri Lanka - Bombay News

Inflation is also at its peak amid the economic crisis in Sri Lanka. However the prices of some vegetables have come down slightly as compared to previous months. The reason is India’s cooperation. Urea and pesticides were sent from India to Sri Lanka, which helped to save the spoiled vegetables and also improved the production. At the same time, petrol and diesel are also coming from India, which has made the flow of vegetables better than before.
Potatoes and onions are vegetables whose prices were rising sharply earlier, but due to the arrival of crude oil from India, the prices have come down significantly. Compared to the vegetables available in Sri Lanka, the prices of vegetables from India are lower. The vegetable vendor Farun told the prices of all the vegetables and also said that Indian vegetables are cheaper than Sri Lanka. For example, the price of onion is currently Rs 260 per kg.
