Police officers giving information and youth caught from drug de-addiction center in Ramidi village of Kapurthala.
Police have freed 20 youths by raiding a drug de-addiction center in Ramidi village of Kapurthala, Punjab. It is alleged that here religious knowledge was claimed to give freedom from intoxication. The police have filed a case against 5 people, including the center operator, for cheating and assaulting lakhs of rupees by the illegal drug de-addiction center. Police have arrested 4 accused and started investigation.
It is learned that Baba Jagtar Singh, the center operator, used to take the youth to his tent to get rid of the drug after talking to the family members of the drug addicted youth. Wooden sticks, important papers, car, intoxicating pills were recovered from the drug de-addiction center. Police have registered a case against Baba Jagtar Singh, Sukhwinder Singh alias Sukha, Baljit Singh, Pavitra Singh and Pappu. DSP Amrik Singh also told that the main accused Baba Jagtar Singh has 11 cases registered against him in different police stations.
