Occasionally people are disturbed by the garbage lying on the road and garbage is now becoming a big problem in terms of the environment. But, you will be surprised to know that this problem is not only in India but also in space. Yes, waste is also becoming a major problem in space. You may also be wondering where the waste eventually came from in space and how the waste problem in space is growing.
What is Garbage – Actually, this waste is not plastic bottles, bags or vegetables etc., but it is other waste. These materials include satellites, spacecraft, rockets, batteries and old pieces of technology. After that object leaves the earth it takes the form of debris shortly after it enters space.
Along with this, the waste that has been spreading in space over the last few years is also the waste of the International Space Station. The ISS has also thrown a lot of garbage on the orders of NASA and this garbage is more than 2.9 tons. It has batteries used in space, etc., which will orbit the earth for many years.
How much waste is there in space right now? – A lot of garbage floats in space. It is said that according to NASA, there is about 6,000 tons of debris in space, mostly moving at a speed of 18,000 miles per hour. This debris is returning to Earth’s orbit.
Concerns have also been raised about this waste in such a situation. It is also said that it may come to Earth in a few years, but by the time it comes to Earth it will burn completely in the atmosphere itself. Therefore, it is not considered dangerous for the Earth, it can be an obstacle in space and related research.
