Sadhana Gupta, wife of Samajwadi Party founder Mulayam Singh Yadav, has passed away. Sadhana was admitted to the ICU ward of Medanta Hospital in Gurgaon for the last few days. Sadhana was ill for a long time. He had a lung infection. He also had high blood pressure and diabetes, which made his condition worse.
Sadhana was the stepmother of former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav. Sadhana Mulayam Singh Yadav is the second wife. Sadhana’s son’s name is Prateek Yadav and his wife is Aparna Yadav. Mulayam Singh Yadav gave Sadhana the status of wife after the death of his first wife and Akhilesh Yadav’s mother Malti Devi in 2003.
Sadhana first met Mulayam Singh in 1980. Sadhana was also married before, but divorced four years later. After that Sadhana and Mulayam Singh got married. Sadhana was 20 years younger than Mulayam Singh. After Sadhana’s death, his funeral is now said to be held in Lucknow.
