Neeraj Chopra reached the final of the World Athletics Championship

After qualifying for the finals of the World Athletics Championships 2022 javelin event, India’s Neeraj Chopra said he will try to give his best in the finals on Sunday.
Reigning Olympic champion Neeraj Chopra had an impressive throw of 88.39 meters in Round 1. Chopra qualified for the final of the World Championship with just one throw and topped Group A of the qualification round to reach the final. It took him less than half a minute to seal his place in the World Championship final. Chopra recorded this third best throw in his career. He set a national record with a throw of 89.94 meters for the silver medal at the Stockholm Diamond League earlier this year.
If Neeraj Chopra wins the World Athletics Championship, he will create history. Since 2009, no one has won both an Olympic and World Championship medal at the same time. In 2009, Norway’s Andreas Thorkildsen won two prestigious gold medals simultaneously.
Neeraj will face Peters in the final on Sunday morning. Peters is a formidable opponent. Competing in Group B of the qualifying round, Peters threw 89.91 metres, the best among all throwers. The defending world champion-Grenadine threw a world record of 93.07 meters at the Diamond League in Doha in March this year.

I don't fight to win, I fight for excellence, I fight to get better. Gold is the goal, so I put in the hard work consistently and focus on getting better.

Watch me take the next step as I continue to push through the New Battles with New Armour. #TheOnlyWayisThrough pic.twitter.com/W6gaj2iEUP
