835 complaints received from India

Facebook said in its report that between May 1 and May 31, 2022, it has received a total of 835 complaints from India. Facebook has taken 100 percent action on these complaints. Facebook claims that its action on this type of content is intended to protect anyone from the economic and social harm it causes. Facebook is not only vigilant against such content but also takes immediate action on complaints.

Instagram handles 41 million content

Meta Company’s second most popular social media site Instagram has also taken action on the complaints. Insta has sued about 41 lakh content in about 12 categories. The purpose of this action is to protect users from annoyance.

Twitter’s action

The micro-blogging site Twitter has also reported that it has processed more than 1,500 complaints in India from April 26 to May 25, 2022. This action was against the posts which were not in accordance with the guidelines laid down by them. Apart from this, more than 46 thousand accounts have been suspended for violating these guidelines.
