  • Municipality launches tax collection campaign against traders who are negligent in paying business tax

A campaign has been undertaken by the Palanpur Municipality to collect business tax dues from various businesses. In which about 85 traders of the city have been sent notices regarding outstanding taxes. Also, three shops of traders who do not pay taxes have been sealed in Dhaniyana Char Road area. Also 54 thousand more tax was collected on the spot.

Campaign to collect taxes
As some of the traders doing business in Palanpur have been negligent in paying the business tax of the municipality, the business tax wing of the municipality has launched a campaign to recover the arrears of the traders. Business Tax Officer Kamlesh Trivedi and his team have issued notices to as many as 85 traders for tax arrears.
An uproar spread among the traders
Apart from this, three different shops in Dhaniyana Char Road area have been sealed and the outstanding tax of Rs.54,842 has been collected on the spot. Due to the strict action taken by the municipality to seal the shops, there has been a flutter among the defaulting traders.
