Rain In Gujarat: 1470 People Evacuated From Chhotaudepur, Navsari And Valsad Due To Heavy Rain

Gandhinagar : Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel held a high-level review meeting on the heavy rains in South Gujarat and especially in Chhotaudepur, Navsari and Valsad. Returning from a tour of Rajkot district, he reached the State Emergency Operations Center in Gandhinagar directly from the helipad. He reviewed the heavy rains in 6 districts in particular.

Migration of 1470 people in three districts of South Gujarat

He directed to ensure safe evacuation of people living in low lying areas and raw houses in these districts and their arrangements including food and health. 400 people in Chhotaudepur, 550 people in Navsari and 4750 people in Valsad have been evacuated to 3250 people in the state.

Deployed 13 teams of NDRF and 16 platoon of SDRF
Currently 13 teams of NDRF and 16 platoon of SDRF have been deployed in the state. 1 platoon of SDRF has been dispatched from Vadodara in Chhota Udepur for help. 2 teams of NDRF in Navsari, 1 – 1 team of NDRF in Gir Somnath and Surat, 1 – 1 team of NDRF in Rajkot, Banaskantha and Valsad, 1 – 1 team of NDRF in Bhavnagar, Kutch and Amreli. And 1-1 team of NDRF has been deployed in Jamnagar, Dwarka and Junagadh.
