    • Rainfall averages 70% in the state, 117% in Kutch, 82% in the south

    On an average, 70% rainfall has occurred in the state. The state has received 24 inches of rain against the season’s average of 34 inches. Kutch has received 117 percent rainfall against the average. 62 percent in Saurashtra, 82 percent in South Gujarat, 61 percent in Central Gujarat while the lowest rainfall has been in North Gujarat at 57 percent. According to the data of All India Rainfall Monthly Series, the highest rainfall of 24 inches has been received in the month of July this year in the last 50 years.

    The lowest rainfall was 4.5 inches in Limkheda taluk of Dahod
    31 talukas of the state have received more than 40 inches of rain. 86 talukas have received between 20 and 40 inches of rain. 102 taluks have received 10 to 20 inches of rain, 31 taluks have received 5 to 10 inches of rain. Only one taluka received less than 5 inches of rain. Limkheda in Dahod has received the least rainfall of 4.5 inches.
