Talking about the TV audition, Rupali said, “The first time I auditioned for a TV show, the producer of the show was Rajan Shahi. That time I walked from Worli to Andheri to audition, as I didn’t even have money to buy a ticket. I made many mistakes in the audition due to fatigue. When I came to know that there was a double role in the 1999 serial Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahi, I got excited and requested Rajan Shahi to give him a chance. So he asked me to come next day. Then I took a bus from Juhu and then auditioned. He auditioned me for six scenes and then my TV show journey began.
Rupali became popular among fans by playing the role of Monisha in ‘Sarabhai Versus Sarabhai’. Rupali made her Bollywood debut as a child actor in the 1985 film Saheb. Rupali married Ashwin K Verma in 2013 and has a son. Rupali Ganguly’s father Anil Ganguly was a director and screenwriter. Rupali’s brother Vijay Ganguly is an actor and producer.
