Today in Sanskardhani Jabalpur, the relationship between father and son has become strained. Here in Darshani village, angry son tied his handicapped father to a cot and burnt him alive due to not being given money for liquor. The handicapped father died on the spot in the incident. After committing the crime, the accused son fled from the spot, who was arrested by the police within a few hours.
Sihora police station said that Ramji Patel (65), living in Darshani village, was handicapped and could not walk much. Late on Tuesday night, when he was sleeping in the cot at home, his younger son Adesh (26) reached home drunk and started beating the handicapped father demanding money. When mother Kori Bai reached to rescue her, she took her ax and drove her away from there.
The accused son Adesh tied his father with a cloth rope and set it on fire. Ramji died on the spot due to further burns in the fire. The wife of the deceased told that her younger son used to demand money for liquor every day. Due to his addiction to alcohol, his wife had also left him. The accused’s mother told the police that he was so intoxicated that he ran to her with an ax and if she did not run away, Aadesh would have killed her too.
As soon as the news of the heinous murder that took place in Darshani village of Sihora police station came to the notice of the Sihora police station this morning, the FSL team reached the spot and sent the burnt body for post-mortem. On the complaint of the relatives of the deceased, a case of murder was registered against the accused son Adesh and arrested him.
