Lumpy virus infection in cattle has increased in Bhavnagar district. So far 257 positive cases have been seen. When two cattle have died in Gariyadhar taluka, the collector called a meeting and instructed to take intensive action.

In order to stop the spread of Lumpy virus in cattle in Bhavnagar district, intensive vaccination of cattle is required. So far 12,045 cattle have been vaccinated, the animal husbandry officer of the district panchayat said, currently the vaccination is in progress and so far one animal each has died in Big Vavadi and Satpada villages in Gariyadhar taluk.
