Sri Lanka Crisis Petrol Price In Sri Lanka Crosses 470 Per Liter

Sri Lanka : Sri Lanka, which is facing an economic crisis, may soon be relieved of its fuel shortage. The chairman of Lanka IOC, a subsidiary of Indian Oil Corporation, said on Saturday that Sri Lanka would receive two consignments of fuel this month and another in August. Meanwhile, petrol prices have risen again in Sri Lanka.

Petrol has gone up by Rs 50
Let me tell you that petrol and diesel prices have skyrocketed in Sri Lanka. A few days ago, the price of petrol in Sri Lanka was increased by 50 Sri Lankan rupees and the price of diesel by 60 Sri Lankan rupees.

470 of 1 liter of petrol
With this increase, the price of petrol has gone up to Rs 470 per liter and diesel to Rs 460 per liter. Significantly, Sri Lanka is facing an unprecedented economic crisis and there is an acute shortage of essential commodities, including fuel.

Only essential services are run
The Sri Lankan government said on Monday that only essential services would be operational from midnight to July 10 and all other operations would be temporarily suspended. This decision was taken due to insufficient supply of fuel.

Fuel consignment will be available soon
News portal Economy Next quoted Lanka IOC chairman Manoj Gupta as saying that two consignments of fuel are expected to arrive between July 13-14 and July 28 and 30. Each ship will carry 30,000 metric tons of fuel. Another consignment is scheduled to arrive on August 10, Gupta said. He said all these consignments would come from Singapore and the UAE.
