Cars Sales Report: June 2022 saw a huge increase in Tata Motors’ car sales. Tata Motors has sold 79,606 vehicles in June 2022. This is an increase of 82 per cent over the 43,704 units sold in June 2021.
Also increase sales of commercial vehicles along with domestic
On the other hand, total sales of commercial vehicles (domestic + exports) increased by 69% to 37,265 units in June 2022 from 22,100 units in June 2021. Domestic sales of commercial vehicles reached 34,409 units in June 2022, up 76 per cent from 19,594 units in June 2021. During the same period, the company’s commercial vehicle exports increased by 14% to 2,856 units from 2,506 units.
Sales of passenger vehicles also increased
The company’s total sales of domestic passenger vehicles increased by 87% to 45,197 units in June 2022 from 24,110 units in June 2021. Sales of petrol and diesel cars in June 2022 increased by 78% to 41,690 units as compared to June 2021. Electric car sales rose 433 percent to 3,507 units.

Sales of electric vehicles reached new heights
Sales of electric vehicles reached new heights with 9,283 sales in the first quarter of FY2022-23 and the highest monthly sales of 3,507 units in June 2022. Launched in May 2022, the Nexon EV Max is in high demand.
The company had posted a net loss of Rs 1,032.84 crore in the fourth quarter of FY2022. 7,605.40 crore during the same period of FY 2021. In the first quarter of the current financial year, net sales fell 11.3 per cent year-on-year to Rs. 77,857.16 crore.
