Mumbai: Before the Test series against the West Indies, important news has come from Team India. Shikhar Dhawan has been given a big responsibility during this series. India are scheduled to play a match against the West Indies after the T20 and ODI series in England.
According to a statement released by the BCCI on Wednesday, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, K. L. Senior players like Rahul, Rishabh Pant and Jaspreet Bumrah have been rested, while Shikhar Dhawan has been given the captaincy. Ravindra Jadeja has been made the Vice Captain. The team includes Rituraj Gaekwad, Shubhaman Gill, Deepak Hooda, Suryakumar Yadav, Shreyas Aiyar, Ishan Kishan, Sanju Samson, Shardul Thakur, Yuzvendra Chahal, Akshar Patel, Avesh Khan, famous Krishna, Mohammad Siraj and Arshdeep Singh.
Currently only the ODI series squad has been announced. The team for the T-20 series will be announced soon, sources said. The return of senior players to the T-20 series is likely, as this is being considered crucial in the run-up to the T-20 World Cup.
