There is a special significance of walking on the Shivling in the Shivaratri of the month of Sawan. The Kanwariyas reached the pagodas on Tuesday with the holy Ganges water from Haridwar shouting Bol Bam and performed Jalabhishek. For the service of Kanwariyas, Shiva devotees had set up Kanwar service camps in Bilaspur and the region. Shiva devotees going from Bilaspur Shiv Chowk to Narayangarh, Kalaamb, Himachal, Rasulpur, Sadhaura, Ambli, Adibadri, Kapalmochan pass through with kanwar.

People everywhere welcomed Shiva devotees with refreshments. At Shiv Chowk, the largest group reached with a tableau of Shiv-Parvati in tractor trolley of Kanwariyas of village Shampur in Sadhaura block. Shiv Bhakt Subhash Hartaul along with the team served by distributing fruits at Shiv Chowk.
