Yogi alias Yogendra Chauhan, 45-year-old son of villager Mangar Chauhan, was shot dead by three masked miscreants in Begrajpur village of Dosut Panchayat under Warisliganj police station area of Nawada district late on Monday evening. Taking advantage of the darkness, all the miscreants managed to escape. The elder brother of the deceased, Mahendra Chauhan, told that in the late evening, Yogi Chauhan was taking a bath on the roadside at some distance from the house.
Meanwhile, three masked miscreants on a motorcycle came and opened fire. In which one bullet hit Yogi Chauhan’s chest and the other bullet went into the thigh. After carrying out the incident, all the criminals escaped comfortably. After being shot, Yogendra fell unconscious while running towards the house. As a result, by the time people thought of taking the treatment, he died. After the information, the local police reached and took the dead body in their possession and brought it to the police station.
After completing the paper formalities, preparations are being made to send the dead body to Nawada Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. Police has started investigating the reasons behind the incident. After the news of the incident, JDU leader Ajay Kumar Ravikant reached the spot. He consoled the victim’s family. All possible help has been assured.
After Yogendra’s death, there is chaos in the family. The family members were in a bad condition. There is a mournful silence in the village. Police is investigating at every point. There has been no statement from the family members.
