The 28 crore Khoraj Bridge connecting Ahmedabad-Gandhinagar had collapsed six days ago due to rain in a year. However, as a result of overlooking the water line during the construction of the bridge, a gap of ten feet fell in the bridge, and the repair of the bridge has now been started by the system.

Roads and newly constructed bridges have also collapsed due to rains in the state. Then, a gap of about 10 feet fell in the Khoraj Bridge between Gandhinagar-Ahmedabad, which was built a year or so ago at a cost of approximately 28 crores, six days ago when there was normal rain. Due to which the traffic was diverted and the bridge was closed.
The rain has opened the poles of the weak construction of the system
The recent rains in Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar exposed the poor construction of the system. In which there was a gap in the bridge at the end of Khoraj towards Adani Shantigram, which was built at the cost of crores of rupees. The bridge was forced to be closed for vehicular traffic as the soil around the bridge collapsed and the bridge wall also caved in.
Locals made allegations of corruption against the quality of the bridge
And the bridge gap was covered with cloth by the system. On the other hand, as the rain has stopped for three days, finally, the system has started repairing the bridge on a war footing. Since morning, the system team has been working to repair the bridge with equipment including JCB machines. However, the locals say that there seems to be widespread corruption in the bridge due to such a big gap in normal rains. Currently, the system will fill the gap, but in the future, if there is heavy rain, whether the bridge will survive or not is also a question.
