- Sisters were given pamphlets to stop using single use plastic
By Government of India dated From July 1, single use plastic has been banned across the country. The central government has decided to strictly enforce the ban on 19 plastic products. The single-use plastic products banned by the government include plastic plates, plastic cups/spoon, plastic flags, straws, spoons, paddles, candy sticks, earbuds with plastic sticks, etc. District Village Development Agency distributed pamphlets to women in rural areas to create awareness about banning single use plastic in rural areas of Porbandar district.
Due to increased use of sticks, environmental balance is threatened
A number of sisters in the rural areas of Porbandar district were sensitized by distributing pamphlets to stop the use of single use plastic. Due to the use of single-use plastic, it has a direct negative impact on the ecosystem and the environment. Due to the increasing use of plastic day by day, the environmental balance is threatened.
Women agreed to stop using single use plastic
The rural sisters gave their opinion and said that the government has taken a decision to ban single use plastic, it is a welcome decision. This decision will prove successful for the country’s environment. The women further said that we will participate in the protection of the environment by stopping the use of plastic banned by the government in our daily life. Also no plastic bag for everyday market shopping. But we will always use a cloth bag. We will also give understanding to other women to stop using plastic bags and use cloth bags. Women agreed to stop using single use plastic.
