In Rajkot, a group clash has come to light over money laundering in digital gambling. On the one hand, while Satam-Athma festivals are going on, on the other hand, some people have taken advantage of the public holiday to engage in illegal activities like gambling. At present, when the number of people playing digital gambling has increased, there was a clash between two groups in Rajkot regarding extortion of money in digital gambling and many people were injured in the fight. A police investigation is currently going on in this regard.
According to the information, as many as 4 people were injured in a group clash over the extortion of digital gambling money in Mawdi area of Rajkot. Apart from this, one person was seriously injured. Efforts have been made to take complaints from both sides of the incident by the Taluka Police. At present, efforts have been made by the Taluka Police to register a complaint of rioting against the statements of both the groups.
It may be mentioned here that the cyber crime police busted a digital gambling ring operating in Rajkot a few days ago. At present, the police have tried to create a strict system in order to prevent social peace due to incidents of fights between two groups at public places during public holidays. Complaints are being filed against each other by both the fighting parties.
