CHANDIGARH: The mother’s presence in a child’s life is of primary importance unless proven that she is unable to take care of the growing kid’s daily needs, the Punjab and Haryana HC has observed while dismissing a habeas corpus plea by a man for his ailing second son’s custody from his estranged wife who is a CRPF head constable.
“What is to be seen in the present case is the mental and physical well-being of the child. The mother is an employee of the CRPF and as such has the financial capability to get the best possible treatment for the minor child…,” the HC observed.
