Morbi: In Morbi, ST bus stand is very crowded due to Janmashtami. All the buses have become full house as a large number of people throng the ST bus stand to celebrate Janmashtami, especially at religious or tourist places and to celebrate Janmashtami at the homes of relatives and friends living in the countryside.
Morbi ST Depot is currently so busy due to Janmashtami that there is no space in all the buses. According to ST Depot Manager Dilip Shamla, Morbi Depot handles about 600 trips on an average. In which about 300 trips are from Morbi’s depot and the remaining tips are from other depots. At present, the routes including Rajkot, Jamanagar, Kutch, Ahmedabad, Surendranagar are being seen quite crowded on Janmashtami. In ST Depot there is constant waiting from spot but also online booking.
Since there is no guarantee of safety in private vehicles due to increase in fares, increasing inclination towards ST, all buses including local, Volvo, express have increased in the average income of Morbi depot which was 3 lakhs before it has increased by one and a half lakhs. In which the revenue of last one week is 30.26 lakhs to Morbi ST depot
