Hitendrabhai Udani, BJP corporator of Ward No. 10, said that the building near the small vegetable market in front of the Municipal Corporation office has become completely dilapidated. It is feared that there will be a huge loss of life if this building, which is suffering from death, collapses. Then this matter has been presented 3 times before in Manpa. But for some reason the house is not removed. Even on Sunday morning, some part of the building collapsed. Now there is a fear that the entire building will collapse anytime, if the building falls, there will be a risk of death for the pedestrians and vehicle drivers passing by.
In spite of reporting this to the commissioner on the phone 3 times, no personnel of the municipality even peeped! Earlier, before presenting this to the General Board, it was not allowed to present after giving an assurance that it would be done within 20 days. While informing the branch officer, he assured to demolish the building within 3 days. But this building has not been removed yet. Then Hitendrabhai Udani vacated his house and went to stay at his son-in-law’s house with the threat that if this building is not removed, then there will be a fasting movement in the municipality.
