- Light to moderate rain is expected till Wednesday
Shravani lashed some parts of the district including Nakhtrana, Bhuj and Abdasa talukas on Sunday and the Meteorological Department has forecast light to moderate rain till Wednesday. The people of Meghraja have breathed a sigh of relief after 12 consecutive days of torrential rains and torrential rains in the district, but for the last one week it has been raining sporadically amid the forecast of the Meteorological Department.
Cloudy weather prevailed in the district on Sunday and the district headquarters Bhuj received heavy rain showers in the morning. Also, around 7 pm there were rain showers again. Besides, Meghraja was also present in Nakhtrana, Lakhpat, Abdasa taluk in the form of rain showers. In Rawapar of Nakhtrana taluk, water flowed in the streets from Saturday night to Sunday afternoon due to drizzle. Roads were wet due to rain in Nagviri, Nawawas, Vigodi, Ghadani, Leafri parish of the parish.
Roads were also wet in Hajipir Phatak area due to rain. In the late evening of Sunday, water gushed in the areas including Dayapar, Ghaduli, Guneri, Virani of Lakhpat taluka. The Meteorological Department has indicated the possibility of light to moderate rain at some places in the district from 3-8, Wednesday. On Sunday, the maximum and minimum temperatures in Bhuj were 30.6 degrees, 25.6 degrees, Nalia 31.0 degrees, 26.4 degrees, Kandla Port 34.0 degrees, 26.6 degrees and Kandla Airport 32.5 degrees, 26.1 degrees respectively.
