A man who was drowning in the water filled in the dam near the end of Dantiwada Dam i.e. Ranavas village in Banaskantha district has been rescued by the police with the help of local swimmers. Due to the heavy rains in Banaskantha district in the last two days, the people of Dantiwada and nearby villages are coming to see the water of the dam due to the inflow of water in Banas river. In the meantime, as part of vigilance to prevent any untoward incident, Police Sub-Inspector of Dantiwada Police Station Mr. SD Choudhary and police staff men were on patrol around seven o’clock in the evening on August 18 yesterday.

Local swimmers Champusinh Dhudsingh Vaghela and Babarsingh Jagatsingh Vaghela were both present on the dam when the police staff were informed that a person was drowning in the water filled in the dam near Ranawas village of Amirgarh police station area. Ramnagar District Dantiwada along with the police staff immediately went to the edge of the dam in the vicinity of Ranavas village. An immediate operation was carried out here and the local swimmers were taken out of the water and rescued the drowning man. Upalakhapa dt. Dantiwada police saved a man who was drowning in water and gave a new life to a person.
