Ujani is organized from different areas of the city by Modha Modi Samaj living in Patan city. Today, the families of Modi community living in Hinglachachar area kept the tradition intact for years.

On the last Sunday of the month of Shravan, the women of the Modi society who have considered the child as a barrier and who have given birth to a son, carried the groom on a bed and left barefoot to the temple of Sindhav Mata. After that, the bridegroom completed his vows by placing the beda before Mataji and the Modi community felt blessed with the statement of Shirani prasadi before Mataji.
