Brahmin Shankaracharya Swami Swarupananda Saraswati was given samadhi with Vedic chanting

Shankaracharya Swami Swaroopananda Saraswati, who became a Brahmin, was given samadhi at his Paramahansi Ganga Ashram on Monday evening with Vedic chanting. He was paid heartfelt tributes by many leaders, politicians, followers and devotees. The late Shankaracharya was cremated with religious rituals as per the rituals laid down by the sadhu saints. The holy body of Shankaracharya was arranged in a palanquin and brought to the Samadhi place by the servants and devotees of Shankaracharya. This time his followers as well as devotees were present in thousands and gave a tearful farewell to Shankaracharcha. MP CM Shivrajsinh Chauhan along with Congress leaders Kamal Nath, Jayavardhansinh Rathore, Suresh Pachori and other leaders were present to pay their respects to late Shankaracharya.

Avimukteswarananda was a native of Brahmanpur in Pratapgarh

Avimukteswaranand originally hails from Brahmanpur village in Patti taluk of Pratapgarh. Avimukteswarananda (childhood name Umashankar) father’s name is Pandit Ramsumer Pandey and mother’s name is Anar Devi. Avimukteswarananda was born on 15 August 1969 in Brahmanpur village. Coincidentally, after his primary education he got an opportunity to go to Gujarat and there he got an opportunity to study Sanskrit under the guidance of Pujya Brahmachari Ramachaitanya, a disciple of Dharmasamrat Swami Karapatri. Swami Avimukteswarananda Saraswati, who studied Sanskrit from Kedarkhand in Kashi since his youth, received his Shastri and Acharya education from Sampurananda Sanskrit University in Varanasi. Students were also active in politics during this time. He was also the General Secretary of the Student Union at Sampuranand Sanskrit University. He went to Kashi with Ramachaitanya.
