Tristan Stubbs Most Expensive Player
A mega auction was held for the South Africa T20 League on Monday. Young batsman Tristan Stubbs was the most expensive player in the auction and was sold for over 4 crores. But the most shocking thing about this league was that Temba Bavuma, who captained South Africa in the T20 World Cup, was not bought by anyone in this league.
No Indian player
A total of 6 teams are participating in the South Africa T20 league, every team is Indian-owned, most are IPL-affiliated teams. However, no Indian player is participating in this league.
Senior players unsold
Players like Tristan Stubbs, Riley Rossouw and South African Marco Jansson were among the most expensive players in this league. But senior and international players like Temba Bavuma, Dean Elgar and Andy Falukwayo could not find a buyer. Two of these players are currently the captain of the South African team.
The captain did not find a buyer
Dean Elgar is currently the captain of South Africa’s test team, while Temba Bavuma is the captain of South Africa in white-ball cricket. In such a situation, it came as a surprise to all that he was not bought by any team.
All teams managed to form a pool of 17 players
