England have won the three-match Test series against South Africa 2-1. South Africa won the first match of the series while England won the second test. The first day of the decisive Test was washed out in rain and the second day’s play was postponed following the death of Queen Elizabeth II. The decisive Test could start on the third day, but the spirit with which the England team played throughout the match did not look like it would need five days for a result. The South African team was all out for just 118 runs in the first innings. In reply, England scored 158 runs in the first innings and took an important lead.

South Africa batted well in the second innings and at one point the score was 83 for two, but then the whole team was bundled out for 169. In this way, England got a target of 130 runs. England chased down the target losing just one wicket in the second innings. England attacked the South African bowlers heavily in the second innings.
Stuart Broad took a total of 7 wickets in the match
Alex Lees scored 39 and fell victim to Kagiso Rabada. England lost their only wicket in the second innings for 108 runs. Jack Crowley returned not out scoring 69 off 57 balls. Along with this, Olly Pope scored 11 not out in 10 balls. For England, Ollie Robinson took five wickets in the first innings while Stuart Broad took four wickets. In the second innings, Stuart Broad and Ben Stokes took three wickets each while Robinson, James Anderson took two wickets each. For South Africa, Marco Jansson took five wickets while Rabada took four wickets in the first innings.
