Lord's will host the 2025 WTC final

The ICC has announced that the final match of the 2023 World Test Championship will be played at The Oval in London and the historic Lord’s Ground will host the 2025 WTC final. ICC Chief Executive Officer Geoff Allardyce said: “We are delighted to host two prestigious grounds for the finals of the next two seasons. The 2023 final has been handed over to The Oval as the ground is also historic and as per the calendar the final will have a great atmosphere.

Dates for both WTC finals will be announced soon

Allardyce said that the 2025 final will be played at Lord’s, which is the most suitable ground for Test cricket’s title clash. The WTC final between New Zealand and India at Southampton turned out to be an entertaining encounter and I’m sure fans around the world will be looking forward to the next final at The Oval. The dates for both the WTC finals to be played in 2023 and 2025 will be announced shortly. England were chosen to host the next two finals of the World Test Championship during the ICC’s annual general meeting in Birmingham in July. Meanwhile, ICC also announced the host countries for other events.
