Sikandar Raza created a new history

Experienced all-rounder Sikandar Raza has created a new history on the strength of his performance. He became the first Zimbabwean player to win the ICC Men’s Player of the Month award. The ICC honored Raza with the ICC Men’s Player of the Month Award for the month of August. The 36-year-old Sikandar has scored three ODI centuries in the month of August alone. Apart from Sikandar, the Australian women’s cricket team player Tahlia McGrath was given the ICC Women’s Player of the Month award.

Mitchell Santner-Ben Stokes knocked out

Sikandar Raza was nominated along with legendary all-rounders like New Zealand’s Mitchell Santner and England’s Ben Stokes. Raza performed brilliantly against Bangladesh and India. Zimbabwe won the three-match ODI series 2-1 with the help of 135 not out and 117 not out against Bangladesh. After this he also scored a century against India. Raza also took seven wickets with his spin bowling during this period.

Jemima out of the race in the women’s category

In the women’s category, India’s Jemima Rodrigues was also in the race for the award, but she finished behind Australia’s Tahlia McGrath. McGrath was instrumental in helping Australia win the gold medal in Birmingham, which earned him the award. He also took five wickets at 13.40 at the Commonwealth Games and scored 114 runs at an average of 57. Meanwhile, he also took three wickets along with an unbeaten 78 runs against Pakistan.
