Team India for T20 World Cup 2022 has been announced by BCCI. Under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma, the board has selected a 15-member team, which will play in this mega event to be held in Australia.
BCCI selected 15 member squad
The Indian squad for the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 has been announced. On Monday 12 September, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the squad for this mega event. The selection committee met on Monday afternoon, in which the 15-member squad was selected. Team India will be captained by Rohit Sharma and vice-captain KL Rahul in the multinational tournament to be held in Australia.
Jadeja-Ravi Bishnoi-Avesh Khan out of squad
Injured Ravindra Jadeja is not part of the final fifty of the T20 World Cup, but the good news is that Jasprit Bumrah, the team’s main fast bowler, is back in the squad. Ravi Bishnoi and Awesh Khan are out of the squad for Asia Cup 2022. The remaining 13 players remain the same, while Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel return. The performance of the Indian team in the Asia Cup was poor and the team could not reach the finals.
