The two-day short session of the Legislative Assembly has begun. On the other hand, efforts are also being made to end the agitation by solving the problems of various employee organizations who are agitating for their outstanding issues. Today, the agitation of three employee organizations ended. This includes the movement of forest guards, Asha workers and ex-servicemen. These organizations announced to end the agitation as the government took a positive approach to solve their problems. This is the last legislative session of the government. Out of more than 20 agitations raging on the axis of the capital, three have been brought to an end. Due to the agitations, the situation of the government has become an ordeal.
Leaders of ex-servicemen are happy that the government is forming a committee
The agitation has been brought to an end by the government forming a high-level committee on ex-servicemen’s issues. The leaders have made the above announcement today in the presence of IG Abhay Chudasma. They expressed hope that the government would bring a solution to their question at the earliest. However, no timeline has been announced as to how soon the issues will be resolved.
It may be mentioned that recently ex-soldiers gave sensational programs including siege of the secretariat in Gandhinagar regarding their various 14 questions. Agitated ex-servicemen camped in front of the Secretariat Gate following the natural death of an ex-serviceman during a demonstration near Chiloda. Their movement entered the eighth day today. Meanwhile, the leaders of the ex-soldiers today officially announced the end of the movement. The announcement was made in the presence of Range IG Abhay Chudasma. Jitendra Nimawat, the leader of ex-soldiers’ organization in this matter, said that the government has formed a high-level committee and has assured the resolution of the issues. He hoped that the ex-servicemen’s queries would be resolved at the earliest. It may be mentioned that this committee has been formed under the chairmanship of the Principal Additional Secretary of the Home Department.
In this regard, Range IG Abhay Chudasma said that a discussion has been held with the representatives of ex-servicemen regarding the high-level committee and they are happy with this decision. They also hoped that the solution to their question would be brought at the earliest. On the other hand, no timeline has been given in this matter. However, the members of the committee will meet with the ex-servicemen’s representatives and submit a report to the government after studying their issues. With this, the ex-servicemen’s movement that has been going on for the last one week has come to an end.
Appearances at Secretariat of Health, LRD and Fixed Pay Employees
Agitational programs were given by various organizations in Gandhinagar even today. In which LRD women took out a rally near the secretariat. Meanwhile, the police detained him. On the other hand, the health workers went on a hunger strike today and again submitted their pending demands to the government. While the employees also raised slogans on the issue of fixed pay. Meanwhile, the condition of two LRD women deteriorated and they were shifted to the hospital for treatment.
GISF employees also joined the agitation over the salary issue
On the one hand, when the assembly session started, on the other hand, various organizations agitating on pending issues started their agitational programs. A tight security was also arranged around the secretariat by the police regarding the assembly session. A convoy of vehicles and barricades were deployed by the police at all the gates in anticipation of the agitators trying to encircle the assembly. However, today LRD women candidates rushed to the secretariat. They had earlier also taken out a rally before the police stopped them at the gate from where they were detained.
On the other hand, health workers also started their struggle today. They went on hunger strike today. The police also detained some health workers from the Secretariat and G-4. Today the health workers chanted slogans with banners.
Two women LRD candidates were shifted to hospital due to deteriorating health
Apart from this slogans were also raised by the VCE employees at the Satyagraha camp regarding their outstanding demands. The police detained him from here. It may be mentioned that the VCE employees have decided to protest by camping in Gandhinagar until the issue is resolved. Apart from this, today, the government employees took out a silent rally wearing black clothes at the Secretariat on the issue of implementation of the old pension scheme.
On the one hand, the government is pushing hard to end the agitation, on the other hand, the GISF employees started the agitation today. A large number of GISF personnel gathered this morning and were detained by the police. These workers have embarked on agitation for various demands including salary hike.
