There have been 5 drowning incidents in the state today, in which 16 people drowned. A total of 6 people have lost their lives in these incidents. So three persons are missing. Talking about these 5 incidents, one incident took place in Nawa village of Rajkot, the second incident took place in Devpura Canal of Banaskantha, the third incident took place in the sea of Daman, the fourth incident took place in Aravalli while the fifth incident took place in Bhadar river near Jetpur.
5 drowned in deep water in Rajkot, woman and girl died
A serious incident of deep water drowning has taken place in Rajkot today. There have been reports of five people drowning in deep water near Dhora in Nawa village of Rajkot. There are reports of drowning of women washing clothes in Nawa village. Three women have been rescued in this incident. While two have died. Two of the dead include a woman and a child. In Rajkot’s Nawagam Rangila town, women went to wash clothes in the water tank of the lake near the cows. In the meantime, while washing clothes in the pit, one after the other, five people got drowned in the deep water. During this incident, three people also drowned while trying to save a girl child. Among the five who drowned in this incident, one woman has died and a child has also lost her life, while three people have been rescued. Meanwhile, two people have been immediately shifted to the civil hospital in an unconscious condition. Following the incident, the Rajkot Fire Brigade team has reached the spot and taken necessary action.
3 youths drowned in Devapura canal of Banaskantha, one died
Vav: When three youths who were doing sentinel work in the main canal passing by Devpura of Vav taluk drowned due to unexplained reasons, the surrounding residents immediately rushed to rescue the two youths. While Parmar Vikrambhai Somabhai (age 25) of Piplod village of Dahod died due to drowning. The police have taken up further investigation after getting the information about the incident.
5 people drowned in Daman sea, 3 missing
So the incident of drowning in the sea also came to light in Daman. 5 people drowned in the sea of Daman. The incident took place in the sea near the light house. A total of three people went missing in this incident, while two were rescued. It has been revealed that all these five people are residents of Surat. All these five people came from Surat to Daman. Following the incident, two have been rescued with the help of two local fishermen. So the fire department team and the police have also reached the incident site and started the necessary action. Currently, the search is on for the three people who drowned.
Two persons drowning in Baid’s Zanzari falls
Six persons from Ahmedabad had come for a picnic to see the falls of Zanzri in Baid of Aravalli. However, two persons who had to bathe in Jhanzari Falls died after drowning. The names of Jitu Bagel and Aman Tomar have come up among these two deceased. Meanwhile, another drowning incident has come to light in Bhogiya Dhara. All the people who came here for the picnic came from Meghaninagar in Ahmedabad. All these youths came from Ahmedabad on bikes.
Jetpur 3 drowned, one juvenile died
So there was a drowning incident in the Bhadar river near Jetpur in the Dhabi river, in which three teenagers took a bath. Out of which 1 teenager has died due to drowning. The local youth pulled out the three teenagers and shifted them to the hospital for treatment. Where one juvenile died during treatment while two other juveniles are currently undergoing treatment.
