The Popular Front of India (PFI) called a bandh to protest the raids by the National Investigative Agency (NIA) in Kerala, but some shopkeepers in Payanur in Kannur refused to keep their shops closed. Meanwhile, there was a clash between the PFI worker and the local people. The friction soon turned into a violent clash. Earlier, many other cities of Kerala have witnessed violent PFI protests.

Sabotage from many cities

There are reports of vandalism from several cities during the PFI shutdown in Kerala. Pictures of buses and vehicles being vandalized from Trivandrum, Kollam and Kozhikode have surfaced. PFIs protest in Kochi amid raids by central agencies. Also, efforts are being made to close shops at the local level. According to the information, the police have detained 5 people who are protesting here. According to the police, they were allegedly damaging shops.

The opposition to PFI in Kannur is becoming increasingly fierce. There is news that two PFI people threw a petrol bomb at the RSS office in Mattanur here. According to the news agency, the matter is being investigated. In the past too, there have been reports of PFIs damaging shops, public property and hotels in several places in Kerala.

Raids in 15 states simultaneously

The NIA raided around 150 locations of PFI across the country late on September 22. 200 officers of NIA took action under this raid conducted simultaneously in 15 states. In which more than hundred terror funding accused have been arrested. The operation was conducted in utmost secrecy from Kerala to Delhi, Uttar Pradesh. In which PFI National President O.M.A. Salam was arrested from Kerala. Delhi PFI Chief Parvez Ahmed was also arrested.

Alert in Uttar Pradesh over PFI performance

Uttar Pradesh government has asked all district headquarters to be on alert following the announcement of bandh by PFI. The DGP has asked all districts to be on alert regarding the announcement of Friday prayers and closure of PFI. Major places where prayers are offered will be strictly monitored. Also, instructions have been given to take strict action against those who spoil the environment. While the social media team is constantly monitoring the rumour-mongers.

Meanwhile, Union Minister Prahlad Joshi said that the Kerala government should take strict action against PFI. Rahul Gandhi does not know why he (PFI) has stopped his journey for a day for his convenience. All parties should work together when it comes to the interest of the country. But their behavior is different, they are helping them indirectly.
