‘His sacrifice an inspiration’: Amit Shah visits martyr SPO Mudasir Sheikh's family in Uri | India News

Srinagar: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday, October 5, visited the residence of Mudasir Sheikh, a policeman who was killed in an encounter with terrorists earlier this year in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district. After addressing a public rally at Baramulla, Amit Shah changed his route, visited the slain cop’s family, and expressed his condolences. Shah also assured the family members of all possible support from the government.

Mudasir Sheikh who was popularly known by the name “Bindaas Bhai” was a part of an encounter in Baramulla, in which three Pakistani militants of the Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) outfit were killed in May this year.

While visiting the family, Shah said that the martyr Mudasir’s family is a great source of inspiration for the police force and the youth of Kashmir, with their open denouncement of terrorism and celebrating the martyrdom of their son as a national sacrifice.
