Watch: Emotions galore as Rohit Sharma lifts Virat Kohli in celebration | Cricket News

NEW DELHI: The King Kohli is back to doing what he does best and the way he snatched a victory from the jaws of defeat against Pakistan in India’s opening match at the T20 World Cup reminded the fans of vintage Virat Kohli.
Kohli single-handedly powered India to an epic four-wicket win over arch-rivals Pakistan with a magnificent 53-ball 82 not out – an innings he described as his best T20I knock ever.

The moment Ravichandran Ashwin scooped the ball over mid-off for a single to guide India to a memorable victory, the Team India players, sitting in the dugout, ran towards the field to join the celebration.

Kohli could not hold his emotions as this is probably the first time he was seen crying in his career. Skipper Rohit Sharma erupted in joy as he also joined celebrations by lifting Kohli on his shoulder in excitement and happiness.

The world number one Indians restricted their fierce rivals to 159-8 and scraped home by four wickets after a remarkable final over.
It looked to be going badly wrong for India as they struggled to just 45-4 off 10 overs, halfway through their chase.

But Kohli and Hardik Pandya (40) launched a fightback with a century stand that left India needing 16 off the final over from a nervous Mohammad Nawaz, who peppered it with wides and no-balls to help them to their target.
