There have been 6 CMs in the history of Himachal Pradesh, out of which five CMs are from Rajput caste, only one was Shanta Kumar Brahmin, who got the opportunity to hold the chair of CM of Himachal, let's know who was the CM who held the chair of Himachal so far and how many times he held the CM post.

Dr.  Yashwantsinh Parmar first became the CM in 1952, he served for four consecutive terms and resigned in 1977.  He belonged to Sirmaur district.

Thakur Ram Lal was the second CM of Himachal Pradesh, he was the CM for two terms, first he was CM from 28 January 1977 to 30 April 1977, then on 14 February 1980 he was again sworn in as CM.  After resigning in 1983, he was made the Governor of Andhra Pradesh.

In 2017 too, BJP contested elections on his face, but he was not made CM due to his loss of seat.

Jai Ram Thakur is the 6th CM of Himachal Pradesh, BJP government gave him the CM post in 2017, BJP is contesting on his face in this election too, PM Modi himself has praised Jai Ram Thakur during many rallies and road shows.  It has to be seen if he can do some miracle in this election then fall prey to the customs going on in Himachal and hand over his job to the CM of other party.
