MorbiAn application has been filed in the Gujarat High Court regarding the tragedy of the hanging pool breaking in In this petition, the petitioner has demanded that the High Court should intervene in the matter of the entire tragedy and take action against those responsible. The petition has mentioned that the dead and injured victims of this incident should get speedy justice. A hearing will be held on this application in the near future.
A public interest petition has also been filed in the Supreme Court regarding this tragedy. Supreme Court lawyer Vishal Tiwari has filed this petition. It has been mentioned that the SIT should be formed under the chairmanship of a retired judge. A SIT team should be formed and strict rules should be put in place to prevent overcrowding on old bridges across the country to prevent such tragedies from happening again. The Supreme Court will hear the petition on November 14.
Let us tell you that more than 135 people have died so far in the Morbi pool accident. Following this tragedy, state-wide mourning has been declared today on 2nd November, today PM Modi also visited the site of the tragedy in Morbi. PM went to Morbi Civil Hospital and met the injured who are undergoing treatment. Besides, the PM also met the relatives of the people who died in this tragedy and expressed their condolences. The PM shared his grief and tried to give him courage. The PM held a review meeting regarding the entire incident and gave strict orders for a speedy and impartial investigation.
