The Municipal Commissioner ordered recovery
Surat’s Rajhans Builders Group has yet another problem. The municipality is trying to file a case against Sanjay Mowlia’s Rajhans Group in the DRT. The builders group has scrambled to pay the premium amount for the 45-year lease of the land given by the municipality for Amezia Waterpark. According to sources in the municipality, the Surat Municipal Commissioner has directed the municipality to proceed with legal opinion for recovery of outstanding dues of Rs.41 crore. The Municipal Commissioner has ordered the Debt Recovery Tribunal to be burdened. A 45-year contract was signed
60995 square meters of land is located in Magob area of the municipality. Amejia Waterpark was started by Rajhans Amusement Park Private Limited Mowlia Group on this land. The partners, including Sanjay Mowlia and Manoj Mowlia, signed a 45-year contract with the municipality at a price of one rupee per square meter. The contract concluded on PPP basis stipulated a 15 percent increase in the premium amount every three years at that time.
Possession was given in 2015
Subject to these conditions, the municipality handed over the land to the group in 2015. In the year 2016, the amusement park Amezia Waterpark was launched. Meanwhile, the financial condition of the company started to deteriorate gradually. Where the Mowlia brothers started hiding the premium amount to the municipality. Where the municipality has now strictly started the recovery of premium dues of 41 crores. For which efforts are being made to go to the Debt Recovery Tribunal.
