Many kite flyers from home and abroad will come to Ahmedabad to take part in the International Kite Festival. Kite-flyers from G-20 countries will also participate in it. The International Kite Festival will be inaugurated by Acharya Devvrat, Governor of Gujarat on January 8, 2023 at 8.00 am at the Sabarmati Riverfront in Ahmedabad. Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel and Tourism Minister Molubhai Bera will also be present during the inauguration ceremony.
A parade will be performed
Suryanamaskar will be performed to welcome Suryagaman in the Northern Hemisphere. Along with this, on the first day of the program, Aditya Stuti Vandana will be performed by Rishikumar. During the International Kite Festival, all kite flyers will perform in a parade wearing G-20 logo printed t-shirts and caps. This year, kites with the logo of G-20 will be seen flying in the skies of Gujarat. Apart from this, visitors to the International Kite Festival will be able to take photos and selfies at a special G-20 photobooth with the G-20 logo under the theme ‘One Earth, One Family, One Future’.
Various cultural programs will be held
A theme pavilion will be set up at the International Kite Festival showcasing the deep history of kites. Also a workshop on making and flying kites will be organized. Cultural programs will also be organized every evening for the visitors during the International Kite Festival. It is worth mentioning that India assumed the presidency of G-20 in December 2022.

India will chair the G20 from December 1, 2022 to November 30, 2023. Meanwhile, more than 200 meetings and programs will be organized across India, of which 15 such meetings will be organized in Gujarat in the coming months.
