Amid the ongoing controversy over the BBC documentary “India: The Modi Question,” UK MP Lord Karan Bilimoria has heaped praise on the Indian Prime Minister. During a debate in the UK Parliament, Bilimoria referred to Prime Minister Narendra Modi as “one of the most powerful persons on the planet.” On January 19, UK PM Rishi Sunak silenced a Pak-origin MP over the documentary by saying he “doesn’t agree with the characterization” of his Indian counterpart. The BBC documentary deals with the riots that broke out in Gujarat when Prime Minister Narendra Modi was the Chief Minister of the state in 2002. Watch this report for more.
