US President Joe Biden said that he has “no comment” on the indictment of former President Donald Trump. Donald Trump was indicted by a Manhattan grand jury after a years-long investigation by the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office. Fox News reported that when Joe Biden was asked whether he thinks the charges against Donald Trump were politically motivated, he said, “I have no comment on Trump.”

The White House also declined to comment on the unprecedented charges against Trump. The Manhattan District court which has been investigating Donald Trump for hush money payments made ahead of the 2016 presidential election, made charges against the former US President. This includes the $130,000 payment made to adult film star Stormy Daniels.

“This evening we contacted Mr. Trump’s attorney to coordinate his surrender to the Manhattan D.A.’s Office for arraignment on a Supreme Court indictment, which remains under seal,” a spokesperson for the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office said.
Reacting to the indictment Donald Trump said, “This is Political Persecution and Election Interference at the highest level in history. From the time I came down the golden escalator at Trump Tower, and even before I was sworn in as your President of the United States, the Radical Left Democrats – the enemy of the hard-working men and women of this Country – have been engaged in a Witch-Hunt to destroy the Make America Great Again movement.”
