Pak helpless before Taliban? 'TTP running shadow Govt in Pashtun areas…' | Times Of Ahmedabad

Adding to troubles for Shehbaz Sharif govt, terror group Tehreek-e-Taliban has formed a shadow government in Pashtun areas of the country. In a letter to the Election Commission, the governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cited security concerns and urged the poll body to postpone elections. The governor admitted to a parallel TTP government in Pashtun dominated regions. The Tehreek-e-Taliban has announced two clear objectives: to overthrow the government in Pakistan and establish an emirate based on Sharia law. The TTP’s political objectives come as a major challenge to PM Shehbaz Sharif who is already battling a major economic turmoil.
