Mumbai: A 52-year-old Canadian national of Indian origin was booked by the Sahar police recently after he made modifications in an Indian visa. Police said he changed the visa date from April 20, 2019, to April 20, 2024. Using this visa, he entered India on November 11, 2023.
The man was trying to fly out of India to Thailand on November 24, when he was intercepted by the immigration authorities at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport.He was handed over to Sahar police. He was booked under the provisions of the Indian Penal Code for cheating immigration authorities. tnn

Malaysia to allow visa-free entry to Indians from December
Malaysia plans to scrap entry visa requirements for Chinese and Indian citizens starting December 1, according to Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim. The decision, announced at the Peoples Justice Partys annual congress, allows Chinese and Indian nationals to stay visa-free for up to 30 days, subject to security screening. This move aims to boost tourist arrivals and support economic growth. Additionally, China will also allow citizens from six countries, including Malaysia, to enter China visa-free for up to 15 days, starting December 1.
