Animal: The Ranbir Kapoor starrer becomes the 7th highest grossing film in the USA | Hindi Movie News

There seems to be no stopping for Ranbir Kapoor and Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal – the film is touching hearts not only in India, but also across the world, especially USA. The film had received the widest release for a Ranbir Kapoor film, beating his previous release Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva which was distributed by Disney.

The film opened to big numbers in the first week, amassing about $9.3 million.With that, one was expecting the film to slow down a bit, but in the second weekend, the film has soared high and how. Over the second weekend, the film has added another $2.3 million to its kitty, taking the grand total of the film to $11.6 million, thus beating the likes of Aamir Khan’s PK and Ranveer Singh- Alia Bhatt starrer Rocky Aur RaniKii Prem Kahaani which has minted about $10.6 million. Now, the film is expected to add another 3 to 5 million more to its total.
The only films above Animal currently in the US markets are Padmaavat, Dangal , RRRJawan, Pathan and Baahubali- 2: The Conclusion. The way Animal has been lapped up, it is certain to break Padmaavat and Dangal’s record in the week, their collection currently stands at $12.17million and $12.39 million respectively.
