Event organiser held for rape of Mexican woman | Mumbai News


MUMBAI: The Bandra police on Friday arrested an event organiser over a complaint by a 31-year-old Mexican woman accusing him of allegedly raping her and forcing her into oral sex while the duo were dating and even after they had broken up. The accused has been booked on charges of rape, unnatural sex, sexual harassment and stalking.
According to the complaint file by the woman, she had met the accused on Instagram in 2017.The two started chatting online and later met. The accused ran a company that organised events and online parties. He offered her a job in his company to which she agreed. As a part of the job, she was required to travel across the country with him. In 2018, the two got into a relationship.
According to the FIR, when the woman had visited the man’s house in Bandra in 2019, he had allegedly raped her. Later, in the same year, he also allegedly forced her to perform oral sex at a hotel in Bengaluru where they were travelling for work. He also threatened her to fire her from the company if she refused. In 2019, she was allegedly raped in hotels at Chandigarh and Kolkata.
The FIR says that the accused tied the knot with another woman in 2020 following which the complainant stopped seeing him. She continued to work with his company. She stated that he would demand sexual favours from her even after his marriage and when she refused, he would allegedly mentally harass her.
In 2022, he allegedly raped her in a Belgian hotel as well. She further alleged that the same year he also sent her inappropriate photos of himself , and later fired her.
Recently, while she was travelling in an auto at Juhu, the accused allegedly got in and demanded sexual favours from her. On November 25, she lodged a complaint at the Bandra police station.
