New Delhi. After the deadly attack on former US President Donald Trump during a rally in Pennsylvania, defense experts Qamar Agha and J.K. Bansal have condemned the incident and expressed concern over America’s ‘gun culture’. Qamar Agha said that the deadly attack on the former US President is very sad. He is a good friend of India. He has good relations with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. PM Modi used to call Trump his friend. He said that deadly attacks have been made on big leaders in America before as well. John F. Kennedy was even assassinated.
He said that the gun culture in America has become very deep, which is a matter of concern. There are many such weapons there that anyone can buy. Weapons that the army uses. We have often seen that the youth there open fire in schools. The situation in America is very dangerous. What was the aim of the attacker? It is not known yet. He further said that there is an economic crisis in America. Inflation has increased. There is a problem of partial unemployment. Earlier America used to be a middle class society. The income of every working person was almost equal, which is not the case now.
On the question of Trump’s security, Qamar Agha said that after such an incident, questions will definitely be raised on security. The decision to provide security is not under the control of the President. The FBI decides how much security to provide to whom. There are private security personnel as well, but it is a matter of concern that how the attacker reached a distance of just 100 meters from Trump. This will be revealed only after investigation, but if a major accident had happened, violence would have spread in America.
He said that America’s democracy is different from India’s. Election campaigning is done in a different way there. Election rallies are not held there like they are held in India. On the question of the coverage of Trump’s incident not being shown prominently in the American media, he said that it is being seen now that the mainstream media in America has been controlled. The media there has been controlled keeping in mind the interests of big industries. This is the reason why social media has become very strong there, due to which it is very difficult to hide anything. It is not possible for the American government to control it.
Defense expert Major General (Retd.) Dr. J.K. Bansal said that this is a big lapse in Trump’s security. The building near the rally should have been thoroughly checked. Gun culture in America is a matter of great concern. He further said that a person present at the rally had warned the security personnel about a suspicious person, but still no attention was paid to it. Such a big lapse in security in such a developed country is a matter of concern, but Trump’s reaction to this incident is very commendable. He got up from the stage, waved his hand and said very strongly that “We will fight”.
Trump is currently undergoing treatment. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Intelligence Service Agency are investigating this incident. Leaders of all countries including PM Modi have condemned this incident. The former military officer said that there was no violence during the recent Lok Sabha elections in India, which shows that India is a non-violence loving country. It is a cultural and peaceful country. America is so developed, yet such violence is taking place there, which means there is a need to improve the culture there.
