According to Australian media reports, she stopped breathing while she was tying her seatbelt in the plane. Her friends told the Australian media that 24-year-old Manpreet was feeling fine a few hours before reaching the airport. Despite this, she boarded the flight, but she fell on the floor while tying the seatbelt and died on the spot. Her plane was parked at the boarding gate of Melbourne Airport. Due to this, the cabin crew and emergency workers immediately reached her, but they could not save her.

Reports say that Manpreet was suffering from tuberculosis. It is an infectious disease that mostly affects the lungs.
