Earlier, the news had come that America has reached an agreement with the mastermind accused of 9/11 attacks. After the news of the agreement came, the controversy on this matter increased. The victim families were unhappy with the agreement. Now the news is that seeing the controversy increasing, America has canceled this agreement.

CNN reports that Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin abruptly canceled a plea deal for the alleged mastermind of the terrorist attacks and his co-conspirators. He also removed the overseer in charge after years of effort to reach an agreement to end the case.

Defense Secretary made this announcement
The memorandum, addressed to Susan Escalier, the convening officer for the military commissions that run the military courts at Guantanamo Bay, said the defense secretary would immediately withdraw her authority in these cases and “reserve such authority to herself.” Austin said he was withdrawing from three pre-trial agreements that had commuted the death penalty for the three men.

It is known that the first accused is Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the second is Walid Mohammed Salim Mubarak bin Atash and the third is Mustafa Ahmed Al Hawasawi. Khalid Sheikh Mohammed is said to be the mastermind of the 9/11 attack. So now the question is why did America make this agreement, so let us tell you that in this agreement it is said that these three accused will accept their charges in the court and in return the government lawyer will not ask for their death penalty. Because the charges leveled against these three hijackers have the provision of death penalty.
